Federal officials have issued an arrest warrant for Michael Benson who recently escaped a state mental hospital in St. Peter, MN. Benson is a level 3 sex offender and is considered very dangerous. He is believed to be driving a 1997 green Ford Crown Victoria Lic.# MN MXB 801. Authorities advise not to approach the individual but call 911. He was reportedly last seen in Cass County in northern Minnesota. Federal officials issued the arrest warrant because they believe he may have fled the state. It also give the MN BCA acess to national databases.
