The Department of Justice is currently investigating bribery which could hit the heart of Capitol Hill. Many members of congress have returned contributions or donated it to charity from Jack Abramoff who pleaded guilty to several federal charges and in return for a reduced sentence will cooperate with federal prosecutors. Prosecutors believe that Abramoff knows which members of congress and their staff took bribes. This comes at time when members are gearing up for re-election.
