Patty Weterling who ran for congress in the 6th district in 2004 unsuccessfully against Congressman Mark Kennedy has announced that she will be running for US Senate. She now must compete with Hennepin County Attorney Amy Klobuchar and Ford Bell for the DFL endorsement. Congressman Mark Kennedy is the leading candidate on the republican side.
