St.Paul Mayors race gets national attention

The race for St. Paul mayor could have far reaching consequences past the 2005 election. At leas that seems to be consensus among some national leaders as former New York Mayor Ed Koch campaigned for Mayor Randy Kelly (D) and Senator John Kerry former democratic presidential nominee, campaigned for Chris Coleman(DFL endorsed). The parties believe that Minnesota will be a swing state again for the 2008 presidential election. Republicans are attempting to swing Minnesota into the red in a traditionally blue state. Senator Kerry narrowly carried Minnesota over Pres. Bush.
