Bush makes recess appointment of Bolton to UN

President Bush appoints Bolton to the UN as US Ambassador to the ire of some on Capitol Hill. There were some questions floating around as to how Bolton answered questions on the questionaire he was asked to submit. The White House stated that the Senate was taking too long and that the position was too important to be left vacant any longer. Boltons term will expire in January 2007. Proponents of Bolton argue that this will give Bolton an opportunity to make much needed reform at the UN.
