Former Oil-for-Food Chief resigns from UN as report to be released

The former Oil-for-Food Chief, Sevan, resigned on Sunday as a report expected to be released on Monday would accuse him of taking kickbacks and not cooperating with the investigation of an $87billion dollar operation. In his resignation Sevan accused the Secretary General Kofi Annan of making him an escapegoat for his own political gain. Sevan is also under investigation by the Manhattan District Attorney's Office. Since he resigned he may lose his privilege of diplomatic immunity.
