Palmeiro could face perjury charges by Congress

Rafael Palmeiro testified earlier this year in Congress under oath that he did not use steroids. Recently he was suspended by major league baseball for testing positive for steroid use. In a written statement Palmeiro stated that he did not intentionally use steroids. Congress is now investigating if perjury charges are warranted. Congress is also considering legislation that would regulate the use of steroids in professional sports.
