Several states have shutdown websites claiming to be helping the victims of Hurricane Katrina. I would suggest only going to organizations that are already well established to their websites if you want to contribute ie Red Cross, Salvation Army, Catholic Charities, etc. Its unfortunate that we live in an age where people are willing to scam people at the expense of other victims.
