The Supreme Court today refused an emergency appeal for legal immunity for the Bush administration regarding base closures. Several states have filed lawsuits against the base closing commission saying that the recommendations would have an adverse effect on their local communities. Some state courts have already thrown out cases on appeal filed by state governments.
