Pres. Bush has been hammered by the media and democrats for several days for the slow federal response to a major disaster. However the Mayor of New Orleans and the Governor of Louisiana need to be held to account as well. They have known for quite some time that a doomsday scenario like Katrina was possible and something that the city and state should have been prepared for until the federal government could arrive with additional resources. To suggest that it was all the Bush administration's fault is completely ridiculous.
