Hurricane Rita after battering the southern part of Florida is expected to gain strength in the warm waters in the Gulf of New Mexico. Rita is expected to make landfall on Galveston, TX sometime Friday evening or Saturday morning. Rita will be upgraded from a category 2 to category 4.
