With the passing of Chief Justice Rehnquist, Pres. Bush has an opportunity that few presidents get. To appoint a new Chief Justice to the United States Supreme Court. As a second term president he will be free to choose the person he wants to fill that position without undue political pressure that a first term president would have to contend with. This will be one of the presidents most important decisons because it will be a legacy long after he leaves office.
