The Senate has delayed the confirmation of John Roberts as Pres. Bush nominates him for the post of Chief Justice. The late Chief Justice William Rehnquist's funeral will be Wednesday. Pres. Bush would like Roberts confirmed by Oct. 3rd when the courts new term begins. This opens the vacancy again for Justice O'Connor.
