FBI agents were seen yesterday carrying out boxes and computers from the home of Dean Zimmerman. He is running for re-election for Minneapolis city council. The FBI was executing a search warrant at the home. Also the US Attorney's Office served a subpoena to City Hall in Minneapolis to get records of Zimmerman as well. The FBI and the US Attorney's Office is not saying what the nature of the investigation is about. Campaign workers believe that it is possibly a smear campaign. Zimmerman has not issued a statement on the advise of his attorney.
