US Labor Dept. offers assistance to those left unemployed by areas declared a major federal disaster area

For those economically displaced by a region declared a federal disaster area, assistance is available from the US Dept. of Labor. The area must be declared by the Pres. of the United States. This applies to those whose employment or self-employment has been lost or interrupted as a direct result of a major federal disaster area.
